Welcome to the FantAutistic Skills Training (FAST)

Quality Care ABA Care

FAST uses the most effective and quality based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) implemented through compassionate, trauma-informed ABA strategies utilizing the Hanley Method of keeping each client happy, relaxed, and engaged (HRE). We ensure that all the behavioral professionals do not use any restrictive procedures, harsh punishment techniques, and primarily utilize reinforcement strategies. If individual clients or parents of autistic children or a related condition are looking for a reinforcement based learning that systematically provides exposure to opportunities where skills can be mastered, then you have come to the right place! You’ll be in FantAutistic hands! 🙌🏼

For parents with children who have a mental health or behavioral diagnosis, FAST is passionate about caregiver collaboration and mandates active caregiver participation for each of the clients. To ensure your child gets the support they need, we all must be on their behavioral team. Behavioral support is not a magic wand to make all your dreams come true but rather skills that continue to build to have your child move closer to a more meaningful life. As part of our *FantAutistic* mindset, we aim to collaborate with all providers in any given field. In fact, the COO is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who ensures efficient medication management, psychiatric support, psychological evaluations, comorbid/co-occurring diagnoses, and family therapy are provided among other functions of psychiatric care. We aim to have an interdisciplinary team filled with physical therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, speech language pathologists, and the like to facilitate specialized therapy for each client's needs.

About FantAutistic Skills Training

What is in a name?

Sometimes people ask - FantAutistic (pronounced “Faun-taw-stick”)? FantAutistic Skills Training (FAST)? Where did you come up with this?

It is very deliberate. In ABA, pairing is an extremely important part of rapport building and learning. Pairing associates two things together and oftentimes in very meaningful ways. We wanted to let our clients know that they are not just autistic, they’re FantAutistic! Autism can sometimes be seen as just a neurodivergence but it’s not just that, it’s a superpower! Our innovative leaders are oftentimes autistic: Albert Einstein, the creator of Pokémon, and even Elon Musk.

We also believe in addressing our clients the way they prefer, focusing on person-centered language. That’s why we refer to our clients as FantAutistic individuals, not just individuals who are FantAutistic. The name "FantAutistic Skills Training" was chosen to reflect this approach. The acronym, FAST, was also designed to show our commitment to delivering services efficiently and promptly—especially psychiatric care. Our CEO has seen clients face several months of waiting for medication management, diagnosis, and psychiatric consultation. At FAST, we can provide psychiatric services within weeks and start ABA care even sooner.
